Drawing & Animation

In the installations, the drawing on paper and the drawing in the computer animation are complementary poles that can‘t do without each other. Work on paper is the analogue formulation of the idea, and the moving image its digital configuration, its vivification. Both media get informed through chance operations. Dice and random generator are shaping the respective compositions. On paper, the roll of the dice is saved in a date and time stamp, and in the animation a script enables the process. In some drawing series the profile of a pilote acts as an avatar for the observer.

In den Installationen sind die Zeichnung auf Papier und die Zeichnung in der Computeranimation komplementäre Pole, die aufeinander nicht verzichten können. Die Papierarbeit ist die analoge Formulierung des Gedankens, der Animationsfilm seine Verlebendigung. Ihre Information erhalten Zeichnung und Animation durch Zufallsoperationen. Würfel und Zufallsmodule bestimmen die jeweilige Komposition. Auf Papier wird Datum und Uhrzeit des Würfelwurfs als Stempel gespeichert, in der Computeranimation ermöglicht ein Skript den Lauf. Ergänzt werden manche Zeichnungsserien durch das Profil einer Pilotin, als Avatar für die Betrachter.
