Installation | Light&Dark

In the New York period from 1992 – 1999 phosphorescent paint was used to allow situations of radical change in the room installations. You see one aspect in the light, and all of a sudden you see something else in the dark.
The room installation Science Times 1992 in the MoMA PS1 New York inquired about black matter in the universe, the exhibition Fragen | Questions presented empty signs in the light, only in the dark the questions became visible. In the series B as C (Beckett as Cage), the position of Samuel Beckett‘s words from the Unnamable were diced on the picture plane, and doubled in the dark:
 Where Now? Who now? When now? Unquestioning. I, say I. Unbelieving.  

In der New Yorker Zeit von 1992 bis 1999 wurde nachleuchtende Farbe als Medium eingesetzt, was in der Rauminstallation eine Umbruchsituation ermöglicht. Man sieht etwas im Hellen, und wenn das Licht ausgeht sieht man etwas ganz anderes.
Die Rauminstallation Science Times 1992 im MoMA PS1 in New York fragte nach der Schwarzen Materie im Universum, die Ausstellung Fragen in den Kunst-Werken Berlin 1995 zeigte im Hellen nur leere Schilder, erst im Dunklen tauchten die Fragen auf.
In der Serie B as C (Beckett as Cage) wurden Becketts Worte aus The Unnamable auf dem Bildfeld ausgewürfelt und im Dunkeln verdoppelt:  Where Now? Who now? When now? Unquestioning. I, say I. Unbelieving.
